Eight-strand square braid and one-strand lucet braid
Though the two bracelets were made using two completely different techniques, the result is interestingly identical: one straight square braid element subsequently joined at the ends. The first structure is an eight-strand hand-braided braid, the second consists of one element hooked on to itself by means of a special little tool called lucet. I found the square section unusual and I decided to enhance its look by using a thick felt yarn. After making the bracelets I realized that I myself couldn’t tell the two types apart unless I had a look at the joins.
