This is a preliminary course to all the other four-shaft courses

 

Duration of course: 30 hours
Only for groups of three-four people

Overview: In this course students will acquainted with a four-shaft table loom of the kind used by weavers for sampling, the basic weaves that can be woven on it and how to write down their structures.

Program: anatomy and operation of a four-shaft table loom; calculating and preparing the warp; dressing the loom; reading and writing a weaving draft; basic weaves and personal variations; how to file samples; possible further developments of what has been learned.
