 courses  19 - Cloth planning and designing (theoretical workshop)

This workshop is suitable for those who have already taken a rigid-heddle or four-shaft beginners’ course

 

Duration of workshop: 15-18 hours
For groups of at least four

Overview: We will examine the various elements that contribute to the look of a piece of fabric and therefore its design.

Program: through the analysis of samples students will learn to recognize the elements that determine their look and texture: materials, colors, warp and weft setts, features of the different weaves, combination and contrast of materials, weaves and colors, color sequences in warp and weft, etc. Each student will be given a small collection of samples and related technical data for them to keep.
