Library  Books consulted during a course on design

This pile of titles is just one example of what can stir sensations and emotions. I don’t mean textile sensations, I mean new textile experiences that are totally different from what generated them. Agnes Martin’s painting, for example, remind me of certain small samples by Anni Albers; Piero Dorazio makes me think of some large structures made of thread that I will perhaps some day create, while certain small print patterns on silk by Sonia Delaunay for me already possess a kind of relief and interweaving. And what about the painted architecture of Yemen and baskets and jazz? Does everything become a textile structure for a weaver? Does everything maybe become flavour for a cook?
