The Diagonals series was born during the carnival of 1985, when in a small stationery store I found some section-printed rolls of paper streamers. When I experimented with them in overshot I discovered that they formed beautiful, complex and totally random geometric patterns. Later on, I developed that idea together with Paola Bonfante and Lalla Ranza in Diagonali 91
